European Intellectual Property Seminar 2012
October 8 to 12, 2012
We are pleased to invite you to our traditional in-house seminar presented by KUHNEN & WACKER, now in its 22nd year, after having presented similar Seminars on European IP at George Washington University and George Mason University in the Washington, D.C. area, in Tokyo, Nagoya, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen as well as at John Marshall Law School, Chicago, and the University of Washington, Seattle, in the past years.
The seminar will provide a comprehensive introduction into European IP laws and practice. Moreover, in view of the ongoing economic uncertainty, the aspect of cost reduction will also be covered.
The courses will be held from Monday, October 8 through Friday, October 12, 2012. Furthermore, we invite all attendees to join us for an optional visit to the Oktoberfest on Sunday, October 7, 2012.
All courses will be held in English. The speakers will include Rainer A. Kuhnen, Rainer K. Kuhnen, Michael Topf, Michael Zeitler, Christian Thomas, Detlef von Ahsen and James A. Forstner of our firm, as well as additional external guest speakers, i.e. Alexander Gardiner (Examiner at the EPO), Nikolaus Heusler (Examiner at the EPO), Jens Gaster (Principal Administrator Industrial Property Unit, European Commission), Klaus Hoffmeister (Central Industrial Property Bureau of the Federal Customs Administration), Martin Schlötelburg (Operations Department – Service Designs OHIM) and Felix Spehlmann (Schutz Marken Dienst GmbH). Please refer to the enclosed brochure for further information and a complete overview of the topics that will be presented.
The seminar will be limited to 40 participants. The registration fee for this seminar is EUR 1,000.00, including textbooks, attendance of all courses and social activities. It is also possible to only attend parts of the Seminar – in this case the price for one day is EUR 500, EUR 700 for two days and EUR 800 for three days. Hotel costs are not included.
NOTE: Accommodation can be arranged through our firm. We provisionally reserved a number of rooms for seminar attendees, however, this provisional reservation can only be guaranteed until August 13, 2012. After this date, we cannot guarantee that the desired category of hotel rooms will still be available. In fact, in view of the Oktoberfest and major industry fairs, no rooms may be available at all in the area without timely reservation. An early registration is therefore highly recommendable.
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time. We will be glad to assist you in any way.
